Alright guys & girls here goes sorry its taken me so long.
This is the trip down to 10TH ANNUAL VIC GATHERING i am planning anyone & everyone is more then welcome to join in and come along.
Being my 4th year doing this trip i wanted to to different tracks & areas this year however knowing most people going to vic for the 1st time want to do the iconic bucket list tracks as myself in other years gone bye also.
This year due to the large number of trucks wanting to go it will be possible to split the group some days days so people can still do the iconic tracks where possible and still meet at the same camp each night i have chosen camp grounds that will accommodate us all with room to move.
The plan is to meet at in the heart of Jindy at 1pm on sun 12/11/17 at a place to be sorted closer to the date for the guys who are not already about the area with Dicky doing the summit walk.
the 1st day of this trip is all snow dependant.
SUN 12th - hopefully Dogmans hut if we cant cross the Murray river it will be Tom Groggin camp ground.
MON 13th- hopefully mt Pinnabar through Wheelers hut camping the night at grassing flat camp ground due to how many trucks we have this year. If we cant drive mt Pinnabar we will talk about different options and routes at camp on sunday night.
TUES 14th - Mt Hothem , dinner plains rd dogs grave through to camp at Dargo Hotel for a VERY QUIET EARLY TO BED NIGHT.or split the group & go via the iconic blue rag and basalt knob tracks into Dargo Hotel for a QUIET EARLY TO BED NIGHT.
WEDS 15th -crooked river track ,cynthia range track through to camp at wonnangatta station.
second option for split group_ iconic billy goats bluff ,howitts plain rd, zeka spur meet group at camp at Wonnangatta station done this last year not a bad days drive.
THURS 16th - Up zeka spur down caladonia river track, Buthcher coutnry track, macalister river track through Licola to camp at hopfully if we make it Cheyne Bridge.
FRI 16th - Burgoyne track though to Otooles camp ground for the gathering .
or split group for an easy easy option straight from Cheyne bridge and meet at camp again.
Then 2 days at the gathering with 2 days to drive the many awesome tracks surrounding otooles pretty cool when you can leave camp for the day in lowrange and not change out for the day if you like pretty special area i reckon.
fuel should not an issue as we will have at least 3 fuel stops from we leave jinndy and we are not doing big kms days just pleny of low range
Thanks again for your patients people any questions please ask pm or ring me 0428285622 thank again cheers kris

For the "slow trip home" I intend on leaving O'Toole's on the Monday morning and head back to Licola for fuel etc. from there we will go up either Butcher Country or Caledonia River Track (as Bugsy is planning on doing one of these on the way in we can do the other on the way out. Tuesday up to the Howqua Hills for camp. I know that Bugsy needs to leave on the Wednesday and anyone else that needs to shoot through early you are near the black top to start heading home. From there we can go via Craig's Hut and a few others and maybe camp down at Pineapple Flat on the Wednesday. Thursday via Mt Speculation for one of the best views in the High Country, Lake Cobbler Hut and camp along the Buffalo River. Friday head home!!!
Anyone that doesn't want to rush home and can take the extra leave is welcome to join.

Also, there are a few of us camping at Thredbo Diggings on Friday 10th Nov. Then on the Saturday we will be doing the chair lift/walk to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko. From there maybe camp down at Geehi Hut on the Saturday night. Sunday we can then meet Bugsy and the rest of the mob at Tom Groggin.

He will learn far more about the history of the high country on this trip than he could ever learn at school. :):):)
And also learn a new language at the same time....... It's called "Campfirebanter"
