hey all.
started the early sunday morning making a trip in the wet to the checkpoint at longwarry BP to meet up with wildti and Matt from GOR (gipsland offroad).
had a quik chat an headed off to have some fun around the noojee/matlock area. wildti showed us some pretty intense tracks in the conditions we were in.. eg the MASSIVE DOWNPOOR! a few of the tracks we looked at we thought best to not go up.
we winded our way up torongo rd to soon come across alot and alot of snow.
we were focused on reaching matlock hut for lunch buuuuut never made it. we caught up with the snowplow/grader and was told the conditions got alot worse up ahead, with pretty heavy snow falling an slippery tracks we thought best to do a U bolt an head back to noojee to try some tracks in comp 22 section. first time in that section although i pass it all the time when heading to matlock. some great tracks up there. sadly flooding the boot of my 60 in a bog hole we came across but ehh, good fun :D
lookin forward to goin out again soon hopefully with more ppl next time.
photos shall be up soon..

Great pics Elise and very pleasing looking at your snatches and how much easier you went with them. Well Done

it show's they know what there doing, no need to put strain on both cars and parts when not needed.
too many people just go hell for leather, more than half the time its not needed.

really did look like alot of fun in the snow.

im head'n out this weekend hopefully ill find some

LT1 (near the pine plantation) is a good track but when it's wet it is a massive challenge (look at the video Grey ghost put up of me coming down a section in the 'ghostpatrol needs a run' thread).
There are others that I know of but they will be closed. If you are up for a challenge there is a track that goes off to the left at the campsite before the falls, it has big ruts & if it's raining I wouldn't suggest you go there.

Thats a bast#$d of a track with AT's even if they were a very good quality AT. Must try it some day with the grey one, even if I dont have quite as much clearance as our big b!tch.
