Gday everyone. Hope all is well in your worlds. So my headlights decided to play up. The other day my low beam stopped working but the high beam works just fine. Checked every relay I can find and did aswell. A mate and my self had a bit of a look into it and ended up with no light lmao ooopppsss. So I changed the stalk over and I had all lights working, and then nonlow beam again but still have high beam. So back to square one yet again. Has anyone else had this problem before? Can someone pleases shed some light on this. Thank you in advance.

Checked and swapped relay with another working one. My high beams work fine. Low beams are dead. All fuses I’ve looked at are fine (under the bonnet and kicker panel) Bulbs have been swapped with new ones too. Swapped the stalk this arvo with a working one had all lights working. Installed the the stalk with the working one turned the light and back to no low beam.

Do you have a workshop manual? You can test the wiring by using a live wire and remove the fuse. Connect it to the bulb side pin where the fuse goes. If the lights work the fault is in the relay and switch wiring. If they dont work the fault is in the wiring between bulb and relay . The manual will help ID the right wires

well it’s been over a year and I still have no low beam lol. Had aircon installed and the sparky said it was the stalk. Well it’s not coz I tried a new one and still the same lol. Let the search continue good thing my high beams are like low beam atm

Have you had a good look at the wiring near the lights for breaks or kinks corrosion in the plug put a test light on the fuse to check it's getting power either side.

well it’s been over a year and I still have no low beam lol ..... u only drive daylight hours or u running around flashing everyone with your high beam ? ;) have u tried with a multimeter to see where u have or havent got power ? should break it down real quick i woulda thought .... have u considered getting an auto elec to look at it, theres bugger all components involved so should be an easy fix for them

Lol everyone has copped my high beams lol lucky they aren’t bright lol it’s like driving with candles lol. Yeah the sparky said it was my stalk and I put a new one in yesterday and no go lol. I’ll borrow the multimeter from work and dig deeper. Hate electrical but at the same time I learn eh

If there not working a decent auto elec should be able pinpoint the problem they have the gear and knowledge instead of guessing what it is. It's usually when things start working again it's hard to find the issue because there's not fault to find.

So. I have power to the globes. 12.3volts at the socket. Put in new globes and still no low beam. Brand new combination switch as well. Still no low beam

If you have 12 volts at the globe you have lost the earth on the other side of the globe. Simples!

Check your earths in the engine bay. Sounds to me like one is definitely crook.

Still sounds more like a relay issue. The 12v positive is good and should always be there, they switch negative

TBH. I think a lot of people have helped you in good faith, and with the logical root causes. You are obviously not testing things correctly or understanding what people are asking you to test.

It's not your fault, I just think you need to get hands on help from someone who is standing in front of your vehicle wth a multi meter who understands electrics.

One of the suggestions above must be the fix.

You cant be good at everything.
