I was doing some research today on the Foxwing Awning and found that TJM here in Brisbane stock them. They were good enough to give me a demo after a lot of harrasing - that was on the account it was blowing 20 knots +. I thought it was a good opportunity for them to put their so called money where their mouth was in terms of how well the foxwing handles windy conditions.
It was very unfortunat for the Salesman at the TJM Megastore as his U beaut Patrool was on display out the front with one side sitting high up on a fancy ramp. Showing off his high lift suspension and awsome wheel travel no doubt.............
Anyways, the foxwing was attached to said Patrool so the Salesman thought it best to drive it off the ramp down on to level ground for the demo. He started his car and proceeded to drive off the ramp ........ but hey - nothing but spinnin wheels and he kept spinning them until they were buried and the RHF one was off the ground - I guess the high lift wasn't that good after all Eh

The salesman invited me to hop in his patrool and drive it while he put some weight under the rear bar........
Under protest and getting close to closing time I did the unthinkable and sat in it
Not liking the view I quickly baled out where the Salesman promptly asked me for a tow

Well of course I had to oblige - nothing like having to recover a Patrool from a perfectly good footpath by one of busiest roads in Brisbane during peak hour traffic .. As you can imagine the Salesman was trying to sink back into his shell however he wasn't able to avoid the dozens and dozens of Toyota drivers that always seemed to get stopped at the lights with enough time to put crap on the poor guy...
Needless to say, I did end up driving off with a new Foxwing Awning.
Prado saves Patrooooool you say..... You better believe it
