Thank goodness for good bar work. I'm looking at replacing my rear bar what are the Ozbars worth & are they fairly heavy duty I ain't seen one yet in person.

I think it was around $2700 uninstalled. That's with the tyre carrier on one side and the double jerry can holder on the other. It's well built...has brackets either side to stop the wings collapsing in a side impact and high lift jacking points. It's made by Kaymar. One thing I've noticed, though, is the paint is starting to rub off in the jerry can holder. I may have to email them to see if they have a fix. But I'm pretty happy with it, and most importantly its built like a brick sh#t house;)

I had a look at another bloke's (GU Patrol) rear wheel carrier the other day built by Rasslar (not sure of the spelling). It's around the same price, but the welds are neater. Though I couldn't see any side brackets. maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

I finally got around to having the front diff locker fitted. I decided safest bet was to go with an e-locker. I'm not going with one on the back as the LSD is very good.

At the same time I got him to fit a set of 4.11 diff gears front and rear. This is a popular mod for the Patrol 4.8L with 33" tyres, as the existing ratio is very low already, and even worse with the bigger tyres. So at 100klm it's now sitting on a very comfortable 2300rpm, and not such a slug around town. The only thing I need to do now (when I get my finger out) is to install the speedo correction device.

Magic button;)

If you want to check the snorkel get a old Tyre inner tube block the bottom end with a bit of cut tube and a clamp. on the top cut tube with the valve in the cut piece and clamp it to the top and blow into a balloon after putting one end on snorkell and blocking other end of tube a old motor cycle or small wheel tube works great and a pvc pipe plumbing fitting works good to block end of tube

Recently added a HID kit to my factory Patrol spotties. So nice and bright, as opposed to the factory globes which had about as much light as a candle.
And today I replaced my rear tailshaft unis which has gotten rid of the hum at 80k. And greased the trailshaft slipjoint which got rid of the clunk on take off. Drives sweet as now:D

What did you do with the ballest? I managed to fit them in the light behind the reflector

Yeah, I siliconed mine inside the light housings.

Not sure about water getting in though my spotties leak like a sieve.

I'm stuck with my poof mobile for a while yet until the missus solves all her car problems. If she gets one that we can both travel in...she doesn't do well in 4wd's, then I can go to town on something decent :)
