G'day all

First up, complete newbie with minimal 4x4 experience, hoping for that to change in the future! I'm keen to get myself a wagon within the next 9-12 months (gives me some time to put cash together) and would love to get opinions from those who've been around longer than I have.
What I'd be using it for
I'd mostly be looking at touring, beach driving and potentially low level offroad stuff, not quite up to rock crawling and the more extreme (and fun) stuff just yet. Research has spat out the 90 / 120 series prados as great options for this kind of thing, but would love to hear other options
What I can spend
I've budgeted around 7-8.5k for a vehicle, then a further 1k for accessories, vehicle budget is flexible if it has accessories on it already
Accessories I'm keen on
I'd be looking for a roof rack, bullbar, Lightbar, drawers, fridge + fridge slider, UHF setup. If there's other non negotiables, feel free to drop a comment as I've got not a whole lot of experience with this stuff

Any advice/tips/recommendations are welcome!

Welcome aboard.
Lots of questions there, my best suggestion is that you use the search tab to have a look around.'

There is a lot of info in here already on the same sort of subjects.

Have a look around & then get back to us maybe.

Buy the best quality accessories/upgrades you can afford, even if it means waiting to save up as will work out cheaper in the long run. Before buying something really think about do you need it & how often will it get used, might be better to put the cash to something more essential then later on you can work out if you need it once you do some trips. Always have weight in the back of your mind, heavier load means more chance of something going wrong with the vehicle/getting stuck

quality was always going to be key, I've got mates who're a lot more knowledgeable coming with me to everything I inspect. If in the long run hunting second hand doesn't work I'll definitely consider putting more cash up.
