Once again We are heading down to Bendeathra for the new year. We will be heading in via dry creek and camping up the north western end of Bendeathra near race course flat.
If any body is interested you are welcome to come along. We are only going in to recharge the batteries and not planning on doing much just setting up camp with the kids and veging.Planning on heading in 31st December Thursday morning and staying until Sunday 3rd January.

For those interested.

Plan on meeting up at Braidwood at approx 9am getting ready to head out at 9.30am Thursday 31st December. We will be on channel 19 UHF. Leaving the camp ground via Dampia fire trail on the 3rd January 2010.

Plan on entering at either dry creek or Merricumbing fire trail (hard way when wet). Then driving the 70 odd Ks to Bendeathra camping ground. Any body with Camper trailers will need to take note that the drive in has very steep and rocky sections that may need snatching or winching. Also there are some very steep declines that will require some steady driving and nerve.

Bendeathra can be very hot during the day and freezing during the night ( It has been known during summer for any water stored outside to freeze). There are some pit toilets spread around the sites but not many. Braidwood is the last supply stop before Araluan road for those comming in via the Hume Hwy and Goulbourn. Mouyra is the last supply stop for those comming in via Princess Hwy. Bring plenty of fresh water as the river supply is not gauranteed. In either supply or clean/fresh.
