Excellent trip guys! This time I went as a passenger and still had a ball.
The tracks at some points were pretty dicey, but glad to see everyone make it through :)
I agree with you jack1948...hard up haul was a piece of cake.
Looking forward to the next trip...maybe ill have a truck by then lol

By the end of the day it was chopped up and slippery more than anything else, it was even hard to stand up on. He had brand new trepadors on, fully locked, 350 chev he backed down and tried twice without any joy.

There is a trick to the corner at the top, the left hander, go deeper into the corner before turning, check the vid in Mutlee HeeHee's post, his pics are in his signature

Hey Jack i had a look at the vidio you did make it look easy i noticed you had a lot of mamentum when you hit it ,I watched a vidio of my mate Tony going up last night and he just idled to it then hit it at the last minute i think that is why he didnt make it ,he said as he did not know the track he did not want to brake anything .We are heading back up in two weeks and the guys wanted to know what are the most challenging tracks That you suggest we do?
Cheers Fluff

Did it in 2nd low, I always give it momentum because the rig is light and bounces everywhere, its a petrol V6, 3.8 EcoTek VT Commodore motor and can handle revs ;):D.

That was the first time I drove it, but checked it out first and picked my preferred lines, that is why the trip was called technical/hard, the second part of Hard Up Haul is just as challenging, but longer :)

Shall check out track names we did and get back to you, but we didn't do many as conditions were extreme on the day with only 5 rigs we finished in darkness, two of the Landcruisers with us winched and snatched each other all day, and Scott with lack of clearance and lockers winched all tracks if I remember correctly :D and popped a couple of tyres as well

I had put 16 X10 wheels on before that run and increased the wheel track by 100 ml, also when I fitted the new 35s I fitted tubes, is working so far, time will tell, the rears have twisted the valves already, so will have to fix that, to much traction through the tyres, or just too much power :D:D

Yer i know what you mean tony had to back off because every time we went anywhere he broke something we went up rocky track in marysville it was raining so the rocks were extra sliperry steve made it to the large ledge and had to winch i had to winch twice tony was that determend to make it up i recon he hit it at about six grand the car was hitting from side to side and jumping in the air dont ask me how but he snapped both starter motor bolts and it fell out on the track hanging by the wires,he had to reverse down with only a hand brake.lol he also took massive chunks out of his brand new tyres
