Hi just got of the phone with a mate of mine who works for DSE or somthing like that and mt dissa has a good chance of being open back up for this week end but they have not compleated all there work as of yet so i would not get to excited and most of the tracks are fenced off or been bulldozed over all the bogholes around hollowback res are no more basicaly it will be the main roads open and thats about it the 4x4 tracks are mostly gone what a dissapointment

I have a couple of mate who ride and have been up there and have mentioned that a lot of the track have even been bull dozered or are now over grown. I will be going up next week end to check it all out.

dont get caught going into place you not spose to the fine is pretty hefty and they will be patroling it big time due to alot still being unsafe from the fires

the fine is very heavey $1000.00 per wheel x 4 wheels on road + 1 spare = to much for me to be paying out

Yeah...I was up there earlier this year and the rangers where on us with in minutes....lucky we stop at the entrance!

Mt dissa opens up tomorrow afternoon will be interesting as i have been up there a while ago and no trees and undergroth made it very hard to find your way around its looks had changed that much but open tomorrow yippy i think ??

Hi billyj no not that i'm awear of I went down to the wandong pub general store at about 09:35 and waited till 10:45 but no body showed up so my son and my self went back home and did some work on his 40 series landcruiser did not realy expect anybody to turn up as no body put in a reply, so its to bad, so sad out this side of the woods

just got back from dissa most tracks closed, but we went in through the back door so some 4x4 fun was had but forgot to take the camera, the old reservior has been filled in and trees been planted on top of it, no more driving through it to wash the 4by after some great mud fun went up there in the sons 40 series, 2 inch lift springs and 35 inch tyres goes ok off road but as i said not much open track wise, plenty of presence off the Rangers and DSE people up there keeping an eye on things
