Mt Disapointment - VIC Closed

G’day all,

Not sure if you are aware, all tracks up at Mt Disappointment will be closed until Cup weekend in November. I was up there last week, with a mate to check it out (1st time there after the fires) and there is a lot of DSE officers in the area. I was there 5 minutes, and I was stop by 2 seen 4 car. Chatted the officer and he explained that there is still a lot of work to be done up there. And that there is a lot of 4wd’s entering illegally, hence the strong presents. (Word of warning, heavy fess apply)

Yes all main roads are closed we just got back from up there just went for a look around and there is a $4000.00 fine if you pass the barriers they have put up so not really worth it

Yep all the best places and tracks in Vic are closed at the best time of year (winter-spring)
So my tourist dollars get spent at home.

Thats great,All they hav to do now is apply the same fine to people that leave smashed stubbies in fireplaces and surrounds,litter etc etc and hopefully we'll see it slowly clean itself up.Oh i did not mention all the used crap paper too scattered throughout bush..
