There are many options for suspension with these rigs if you intend to go 2 inch conventional off the shelf set ups.
So long as you choose a reputable brand that provides a quality Shockyou got no dramas .
But if you think you're going to want to go more Eventually like I did with my triton then I suggest you go height adjustable shocks.
This way even if you can only afford to go suspension first and wish to do the upgrades over time adjustable height suspension will allow you to stay at 2 inch till you can afford to grab a diff drop kit and then wind them up further.
Triton are one of the most capable ifs dual cab rigs, pair them up with 3 to 4 inches of lift, diff drop kit, twin lockers and reduction gears (crawler gears) in the transfer and you will out wheel any other ifs ire in its class and keep up with twin locked cruisers and patrols

Iv got a mn dual cab triton,
I fitted a 40mm tough dog lift and honestly cannot fault it.
If you go a full 2"/50mm they will often get driveline vibration due to tailshaft angles. You can fit a wedge but that often doesn't completely rectify it.
Also the higher the lift the greater the front driveshaft angles which reduces lifespan.

So I figured that the extra 10mm lift wasn't worth the extra problems it caused.

I run 32" muddies and it doesn't foul anywhere with the 40mm lift.
Iv used ironman previously and found they didn't last very long. My current tough dog setup has been in for nearly 50,000k and it rides great still

The one that it already has will easily take you over about 95% of all the unsealed mountain and desert roads/tracks in the country. If it, and all the other 4x4 utes, could not to that then their manufacturers would be having a hard time selling them.

If you want to build a weekend play car for the roughest possible conditions then you will need a few modifications. Work out exactly what you want to do before you change anything. It also helps if you know how the suspension as well as the tyres and their pressures work in the first place. There is far more to suspension designs than meets the eye.

Suspensions alterations that are intended to make the car perform better in the bush will reduce its sealed road stability and handling characteristics and, as many people have found out the hard way, it won't be for the better.

I ended up with Ultimate suspension in mine and love it, made a massive difference on all types of terrain. Its a full 50mm lift as well. In the ML range some came with a 2 piece rear drive shaft and the others a 1 piece, mine is a 1 piece model and I have had no vibration issues what so ever. As Georgie Kyro said with a lift and some tyres they are a very capable 4WD!

G'day Travo,

I'm a fellow Sandgroper,. Who'd you end up going with in Perth for your suspension? I'm chasing someone to lift my Navara.

Cheers
