Meningie to Victor Harbour

At the end of June the missus and I are looking to travel to Victor Harbour.

1- get to Meningie
2- then to Meningie West via the Narrung Rd
3- then TL onto Love Day Bay Rd
4- Then TL onto Mark Point Rd proceed to the end the TR onto Pelican Point Rd
5- proceed on Pelican Point Rd through Coorong then through Mundoo Island
6- proced through Hindmarsh Island onto Goolwa and Victor Harbour.

Now I see on the track list part of Pelican Point Rd has been marked and is easy. As I we will be in the missus standard Pajero ( it's a long walk back to get the Patrol ).

I see on Google Earth there are bridge's linking the islands as well. Is this true ?

Has anyone driven the entire length of Pelican Point Rd and what was the conditions like ?
Regards
Rossco

I hate to disappoint but you will dead end at pelicans point locked gates with no public access to the barrages (the track you can see from that point on). To get to Goolwa, Victor & Hindmarsh Island etc from Pelican point you will need to back track to Marks point then on to Narrung catch the ferry & then around to Wellington another Ferry & then on to Victor etc.
The Kartoo Pelican point track should be no problems if not too wet.
Hope this helps

What a bugger. Ah google maps stuffed up as it actually shows a bridge linking the islands.
Anyway Mick thanks for that we'll travel via your way.

Rossco when you do the trip on the way from Wellington go down to Milang & onto Clayton then Goolwa. Clayton is a nice quiet little spot.
