I saw Setka on Tv a minute ago. He said his people are viewing video of the demonstrations and any Union members identified may as well go fruit picking for any future work.

I think the CFMEU may need to employ a PR firm quickly.

How does the jingle go?

They said we couldn't do it but we protested just the same.
The said our crib huts were too risky the covid was to blame

Have another toke bru, you’ll come up with something. I sit in smoko rooms full of Fluoro shirt wearing philosophers, doctors, engineers, politicians, you name it - construction site smoko rooms are where all the world’s craziest theories are brought to life and passionately believed - I’ve heard them all.

A dictator rules with an iron first, and the members clearly don’t want him…

But that’s ok as those members can go……….
And Setka can go about his business helping his sons labour hire company expand

labour hire and unions who would have thought job security was on the unions hit list

Just watching the live news in Melbourne and all the cowards running from police. Some discarding their fluoro hoodies as they ran away from the riot squads. Not so tough now

I reckon because of a few, I mean a real few , around three hundred and thirty thousand are out of work for two weeks. Including my son in law, his workers and my grandson.
I was watching the live stream on a youtube channel run by a pro choice, anti vaxer, civil rights idiot when he asked the mob to settle down and then said , well I don't want to, but do you really want me to close everyting down.
He did say they should be vaccinated, however it was their decision.
Not defending setka, just saying.

Totally against the current riots and agree with getting vaccinated but that bloke is as crooked as they come

Is it really about mandatory vax ?
Or was that the straw that broke the camels back ?
Again it’s easy to sit back and watch the channel 7 coverage .
Initially it was union business until the unwashed got involved and I applaud those workers for standing up for their rights.
Those workers have been seen all over the world and admired for not laying down and taking the shit that is being forced upon us.
Just remember we live in a democracy, think some of you are forgetting that .

P.S. the mainstream media deserve to be soaked in urine.

With an infection rate of 0.1% of people in the building industry is that grounds to force mandatory vacation ?
If so let’s force mandatory vaccination for the 350,000 public servants he employs (who still refuse to go back to their offices) then let’s get all the MP,s of the parliament to take the jab so we can reopen parliament so we can reinstate some of the freedom we are being robbed of .
This has nothing to do with health it’s all about control and Dan is losing control each day in the most locked down city in the world.

100% agree with every other comment you have made, except this , yes as an organization they absolutely deserve that, but as an individual doing his job and trying best he can to cover the unfolding events absolutely not and that behavior is outrageous and totally unacceptable which makes the general public who are already being pushed in a certain direction follow with even less hesitancy

Maybe Victoria needs to have another good look at NSW to see how it should be done, yes yes a few people have died a little before their time, society is more than a few people, not nearly the restrictions and construction still moving along nicely

I thought we were nearly past that point now with vaccination rates getting close to a manageable level so that all restrictions will start to ease

The low life has desecrated our shrine of remembrance.
These scum are only alive because of the lives and sacrifices made by their forebearers.
They showed no respect and walked all over it as they reckon they were also fighting for freedom.
What a bunch of rabble lowdown scums.
And if anyone reckons that was ok for a cause well they epitomise what low life scums they are also.
My family and my wife's family did not die for this scum.

On a practical level with regards to employer requirements for their staff to be vaccinated. The potential disruption and costs to a business with maintaining reliable staffing numbers is a legitimate concern. Imagine the impact if a Covid positive employee infected a large portion of your staff.

I have a work situation now where the project has come to a standstill for nearly the last three weeks because the specialist crew that is authorised to do a critical stage of the work has become Covid positive so the project has stopped until further notice. This will be particularly costly and disruptive to the client.
So apart from employees rights to choose whether to get vaccinated or not the employer has a view on the impact it can have on their business to consider as well
