Limestone creek

Spent the weekend camping and 4wheeling at and around limestone creek, about 30 kms out of Benambra. Hadnt done any driving out this way before but it is a lovely area and well worth exploring. Did a day drive out to Davies plain hut used Limestone track, Mcarthys track and Davies plain track from memory. They had some decent short steep sections as well as some relatively rocky sections. We also went and had a look at Cobberas and Rams horn which were both only short drives from the limestone creek camp area. Would recommend this area for family camping or as a much more interesting way to travel through to Tom Groggin.

The tracks were all fairly dry, some steep bits but nothing to worry about just nice low range slow climbs. Saw 3 snakes over the 3 days so is definately worth keeping your eyes open whilst out of the vehichle. Beautiful area though, went through the area where you are camping and it looked really nice. Good grassy camp areas and well mnintained fire pits with hot plates and billy swings. Lots of fire wood lying around also.

You will have a ball.
