Landcruiser 70 Series exhaust mod

Hi all,
just got a new landcruiser 70 series ute a month back and am looking at working on the power/fuel consumption area via an exhaust mod. I am realistic about it and ain't expecting any huge gains but something is better than nothing. interested to hear if anyone has completed one or have any advice. any advice and opinion are fine as all will be appreciated.
cheers craig

Any free flow exhaust 3 inches/75mm or larger.

The beauty of a turbo diesel is that you can't really go too big in the exhaust system.

Many run without mufflers as the turbo acts like a muffler anyway.

Most critical part of any turbo exhaust is the dump pipe, that the first section of pipe from the turbo.

Ideally you would do exhaust and "Chip" the motor at the same time for maximum benefit but a decent free flowing exhaust will make a noticeble difference.

Cheers

I have a 79 series ute with the 1HDFTE motor. Had the exhaust re done with a 4inch dump of the turbo, then 3" to the back. This made a difference, but had a dp chip fittedand also a water/air intercooler. This made a big difference to performance.
