See if I can get it right this time.

I’m selling my 2000 Land Rover Discovery II TD5 Auto 357,000km
$6000 ONO

The good:

APT slider side steps
APT steering guard
APT fuel tank guard
APT spare tyre carrier
King +50mm heavy duty springs with Proride shocks and steering damper
Xrox bar with 12000lb Ridge Rider winch, light bar, led spots and led fog lights
Dual battery in rear with 2 x socket, 2 x USB plus volt and amp meter
235/85/16 AT tyres 50-60% remaining
Alloy Ironman roof rack on 9” steel legs with 2 x 3m awning
1kg fire extinguisher
Provent style catch can
Oricom 80 ch UHF
Custom install additional SAAS gauges, Boost, Water, EGT and Trans temp
CDL reinstated with D2a linkage and SLABS ECU (no cut wires or amigos)
Greaseable front drive shaft
Regularly serviced with service history (provided) from original owner and myself (2nd owner)
Tow bar
Safari snorkel
QLD rego to August 2020

The bad:

It leaks a little, It’s a Land Rover
Both rear doors and tail gate need latches replaced
Could probably use new engine mounts
Small hole in driver’s seat under canvas seat covers

This vehicle is in quite good condition given its age and is used as a daily. Recently replaced injector seals, harness (sealed) and cover gasket as well as FPR and CPS. There is a couple of spots of clear coat coming off driver door and there is an almost unnoticeable scar on the front to the left fender (see pictures). This would make an excellent weekender or bush toy and I will include a few spare parts I have as well as a NNN ECU (not installed) for you to install and map any way you wish.

Nice looking rig, and with the extras, , be good value for the next owner at that price, what are you going to replace her with?

Next one in the sequence, Discovery 3. The search continues, still undecided on TDV6 or V8. If I can't find what I want in either of those may look at V6 but don't know yet.

SWMBO has health issues and now has trouble getting in and out of this one and says it is too uncomfortable. We have tested a couple and I don't know who is looking forward to the update more.

Dedicated, I guess so I'm prepared to travel interstate for the right vehicle at the right price.

yeh, mine complains about the seats in the ol' lux, so Im looking at what I can replace them with, Finding good seats with the same track width is the trick, then you dont have to engineer them 'cause you can use the old bottom slides. Have you considered modifying what you have rather than buying something else?

I'd probably have to return the tyres and suspension to stock and even then I don't think SWMBO would be happy. Would also need to remove sliders and replace with a more "normal" side step.
I think I've also got to the point were a little comfort wouldn't go astray, combined with the capability of the Discovery I think the replacement will see us through a good number of years.

Dropping to Access Height on a D3 or D4 will definitely help with access but with that use all the time, you will need to service or replace the air compressor more often but when you become familiar with the system it is not so bad.
