I was looking forward to all the inevitable electrical issues , break downs and tilt tray rides, but no, nothing wrong with the car at all, very disappointing for many I am sure

Would of been great seeing a tilt tray at Big Red

What a tool, his idea of bush mechanic`s is woeful at best, can`t even tie down a bike properly.
It`s a wonder anything was left by the time he got back.

Yeah, pretty clueless. In the previous clip he thought someone shot out his rear window with a gun. Didn't know butkiss about anything remote. :) Quite amusing watching someone blundering around.

The only failure with that little escapade was the driver. I feel sorry for the Rover, trailer and bike - innocent victims! :)

Is that the bloke from 'Big Brother' (I only saw the TV commercials, not the program). If so, then there is no surprise - the BB bloke appeared to be a major league DH. (IMHO)

I think you're right from what I've picked up from his other clips, I never even saw the commercials for Big Brother. I think that being a DH means "personality" these days. :)

So, let me get this straight: the guy drove Burdsville Track, thinking he is driving in "brutal conditions"?
he's driven some of the worse roads in india in a harley. he's not as dumb as he looks(unless you assume driving in india is dumb).

A pretty detailed inspection by a an LR enthusiast. He reckons the Grenadier will be epic. There will be a ute version.

It is refreshing to see someone who actually knows what he is looking at to give a review instead of the usual journalists who just repeat advertising blurb verbatim and have little idea what they are looking at.

Will be interesting to see how this vehicle progresses

Interesting how he is a diehard longtime Defender owner but still refers to it as a bucket of shit and referred to a 70 series as a strong reliable workhorse
His quote” maintenance on a Toyota is changing the oil, maintenance on a LR is changing a part” hahaha. But he is passionate and in love with his LR’s which is a common trait with owners.

Very interesting how they are going about sales, maintenance and parts. Not only does it totally remove any hesitation people would have of aftersales service and parts but has an added attraction that you can use your preferred mechanic or DIY and still have full dealer support. That would be a huge draw card for the consumer and would also be a cost effective solution for Ineos

LOL yes, I picked up on that swapping parts is considered maintenance by LR owners. It does explain some of the comments here like My Disco will run forever with a little maintenance. Ie the maintenance is swapping out the engine and crankshafts, front suspension, electronics, vehicle hand brake, reverse camera set up. touch screen, engine check light etc. Hell, many have a complete spare vehicle in their front yard. even 100% swap out might be maintenance.

Ineos does have an innovative approach to service and support. That does address the dealer coverage issue. I think I just found my next vehicle. No manufacturer has done anything like that for a long time. Full parts delivered to even your home, and service manual online for free is a massive change.

I wonder about special tools, diagnostic or physical. A lot of brands attach you to the dealer by the balls because some of the maintenance or repair tasks can't be done without them. The Jeep scan tool to properly read the codes is over $3k from memory.
