This thread is in reply to a PM I received regarding a comment I made about getting more from a Land Rover 300Tdi.
I haven't made enough posts to get PM privileges yet so I thought I would create a thread to respond.
Please remember, this is just my opinion and anything you can add to help would be appreciated.
One of the first performance enhancements can be done in two relatively simple steps.
1 - Take it to a diesel tuning speciailist and get them to tune the fuel pump. From the factory, they are set up within a certain tolerance. Getting the pump tuned is basically "blue printing" the pump to get it running at its optimum. More power and torque.
2 - Get it dyno tuned. This will smooth out the power delivery and make it much nicer to drive.
I have two friends with 300Tdi manuals. One has been tuned/dyno'd, the other is stock. The difference is incredible.
Hope this helps.
