Hey Chris, I may be up for that. Although I don't think there is much or any 4x4ing because it is a national park. A weekend away may be nice and the timing may be good. Kids would love it! I'll let you know shortly and I'll do a little research on whats up there.

Cheers

Apparently there is a plane wreck up there......

I went there about 15 years ago. The camp grounds were small. But a good weekend heaps of walks and stuff to do. Are you talking about staying at O'reily's??

Would that be the Stinson wreck you're talking about Yobbo or is there another one?

Hi all,
We camped at O'rielly's recently and found it great. You can access O'Rielly's from Beaudesert via Duck Creek Road, which is an easy 4x4 track but a great drive. There are some great walks up there. We did the canopy walk at night and loved it.
Happy camping,
Jim

There is also Stinson's Park and Burgess Park for camping on Christmas Creek road. Christmas Creek road takes you to the back of Lamington National park, is a lovely short drive for a picnic and like Jim said there is always Duck Creek Road for a 4WDrive fix.
