now they say this place is a fishing mecca i went out in my mate boat every day fishing seen tones of fish on the sonder but they wern't biteing water was just to cold mind you every day the temp was 29 30deg one night it was 29.5deg at 9pm even went swiming in the pool hard to belive considering it was winter.finely got my first fish a grunter best fish i have ever tasted

went to normanton for a drive to have a look only 73km down the road went to the normanton railway station fo a bit of a look
seen this on the main door going in
after haveing a look around the railway went and had lunch at the famous purple pub i did not have a drink there couse i dont drink but the food was unreal!!!!!!

ok we left leichhardt falls and went and had a look at burketown
stoped and had a cuppa on the side of the road middle of no were
they breed the road trains big up this way
we hit burketown had a bit of a look around had some lunch
took a pic of the pub and headed back to karumba round trip about 600km of dirt road

we left karumba and headed for croydon we were told the information centre was realy good to see and i must say for a small town it was great.
we booked in at cobbold gorge at the information centre and went for a drive to have a look at a look out that look out over the town
we left croydon on our way to cobbold gorge and stoped and had a look at this old chimney and a lake

ok on our way to georgetown found our way to cobbold gorge 90km of rough road stoped and help a lady change her tyre that exploded and we were on our way.came around tha corner down a dip and hit a big hole doing about 50km trailer got air born and riped the light socket out was not happy.i ended up fixing it with a spar i had.
the rough road was wirth it this place was unreal.cobbold gorge is on a station called
robin hood about 4000q/km the gorge was found in the early 90s it has camping and cabins to stay in the camping ground was great.they have a pool for those hot days and a licensed bar and restaurant.

the next day we went on tour of the gorge $73 each we got on a 4x4 bus
we started by driving for while and then got off to start climbing our way up the sandstone to view the gorge from above
we headed up untill we made it to the top and seen this dinosour rock
and then we seen the gorge from the top about 30m to the water and only about
2m wide it is allways full of water fed buy a spring

after seeing the gorge from the top we made our way
back down to get in a boat with 2 electric motors on it becouse the gorge is not that wide so the guide moves to the other in of the boat to take you back
one of these crocks was up on a leadge right in front of us seen the boat and fell in the water right in front of us
the gorge was amazeing place to see
