Thinking of selling my Mits Challenger to buy a new 4X4.
What will you offer me for my mits?$$$$$$$$$$
What should I get if I do sell?nis-toy-mits-jeep-ford.....................
Depends on the reason why you are thinking of off loading it .
If it is vehicle capability then I would question that as they are very capable machines . Mate of mine has an auto version, sure , he put an oil cooler to help the transmission, lifted it slightly, put a second fuel tank under it, put a dual battery system in it, has a wheel carrier on it, for that neccessary second spare, if you are travelling in the outback. His vehicle has crossed the Simpson Desert and has lugged my previous vehicle a GQ patrol wagon when the head sh!t itself, home from Omeo on a trailer .
Growing family, yes, that would be understandable, as they arent roomy for a family .
What do you want out of a vehicle, or for what reason do you want something bigger, if it is towing then a big diesel is really your answer. I love my big 4.2 turbo intercooled it seems to do everything I throw at it .
As to what would you vehicle fetch, mitsubs have not been promoted in a way that appeals to most Australians, that applies to the whole range , other vehicles as well, they have never gone after the bigger picture, Mining Industry, Primary Industry etc. Toyota and Nissan have and most people want a vehicle to be a work horse and mitsubs are percieved as being on the light side . when in fact they are highly reliable vehicles, but stupid areas like fuel tank capacities on some of the Pajeros for instance let them down
mitsubs dont have a great second hand value, only to people who have previously had them .
So give us some feed back as to what your requirements are, I have had a Toyota 60 series, the best Toyota ever made, a GQ patrol and currently a GU patrol ute, if ever Toyota go back to putting in a decent front driveline, I would look at them again.
Hope that this gives you something to think about. Questions, ask away.
