Hey everyone!

Just wanted to see if anyone would be down to go on a weekend trip to O'Tools (east of Victoria) or any area around them for a weekend. Feel like after covid not many people have been getting their tyers and cars dirty enough.

Would be an awesome weekend, amazing camping spot for the cold nights and early mornings (makes it worth it with the multiple fire pits going on) but it also has some awesome tracks around the area to get the adrenalin bumping with fantastic views.

Its also a great way to meet new people, especially people that love what you love (e.g. 4x4)

Let me know who would be up for it.

4x4 earth members did a lot of the work at Otools , known as the Gippy crew for the most part built the gazebo
Earth has also had some great annual gatherings there with heaps of members attending
Unfortunately the trips and annual gatherings have fallen by the wayside for Victoria NSW and SA
I would join you but am away on a touring trip , another time for sure because as you say a great area with fun tracks
A vote for yes just in case the trip was pushed back a bit

Too cold for me as i am a sook, but looks interesting
Looks like 4 x 4 Earth has been quite active in this area in the past when you look it up on Google
The details of the location are a bit confusing. The you provided says it's near the Eildon Jamieson road but google says it's South of Woods Point near the Thompson dam. The Google details looks like a site where I recall pictures on here of someone getting married.

I'd definitely be up for it if the Ranger i could handle the tracks.

You can get to OTooles without 4wdriving mate. It’s like a dirt rd with a small stream…It’s nothing hard.

Tracks off it can get harder…

And the tracks range from a nice easy beginners drive to insane butt clenching if that’s your thing, the weather also plays a big part in track difficulty

I headed out there on Kings Birthday weekend to scope it out. Headed North to Mansfield before the weather set in. It turned very WET.

Both O'Tooles and Little O'Tooles campgrounds had very solid looking gates on them. Are they open at the moment? Are they closed until Melbourne Cup weekend?
