June '17 long weekend - Brindabella trip

Just thought I'd get a report going, plenty of people snapping photos on weekend I would like to see!

We had a good relaxing weekend. Rolling into Saturday and Sunday nights camp early afternoon both days.

I'd not spent to much time in Brindabella area, so was awesome to have a look around. Big shout out to Brad who played local guide out front, and toddy for taking it up the rear.

I terrorised everyone (especially Wang) with my Mini quad. Quick little flight video below!

Thanks everyone for a great weekend.

I didn't get my camera out until just before we were at camp on Saturday afternoon, but from then on, I took quite a few photos, and I've whittled them down to what I hope is a forum friendly amount.

I'm not sure if it was the drone, or the dance to the fire gods that got the fire going, but whatever it was, it got that smouldering pile of damp timber burning..

Its good the track to the top of Coree is open again they had that top section closed for a while. Years ago I drove to the top of that in a 2wd Mazda RX3 rally car haha 4wders up the top were surprised when we rocked up.

oh wow! Just saw this link from another thread.
I am in Sydney too and just starting on 4WDing, I borrow my Dad's Forester, he only uses it for work and he didn't even know it can do off road tracks like sand and dirt tracks until I showed him how well the Forester goes on Stockton beach
Would love to join one of these camping trips, only been camping a few times and I absolutely love it! those campgrounds look spectacular too

How do we usually sign up for these events?
