to endure to keep everyone "safe" ............ and out of hospital where they'd be consuming taxpayer dollars. Mind you, if we weren't wrapped in cotton wool, maybe the government(s) would have had to invest more in hospitals = we'd have more capacity in our hospital system and better be able to handle spikes in admissions when we have a once in a hundred years pandemic. I'm not sure if there's logic in that.
