JK Wrangler suspension help

Hi, I have a JK Wrangler that likes to jump a bit at the rear if I hit corrugation or sometimes even a pot hole in the road going to work. In an attempt to keep it on the road, I'm considering new suspension. ARB have an Old man Emu kit out for around $1400 plus fitting and I came across a business on the central coast that deal Double Black and suggested a kit out using Fox.

Has anyone had similar experience with a wrangler and if so did you manage to fix it.

Other than that, does anyone have any feedback on Old Man Emu vs Fox ?

go through double black offroad for your jeep shit. they know their stuff and tailor make to suit jeeps. arb just makes shit for the general market, not as specific as DBOR

Have a look at uneek4x4.com.au on facebook for some of there gear.

Theres lots of dedicated Jeep places out there where you will get a much better product then ARB or Old Man Emu can offer.

Sounds like you just need new shocks. If the valving is worn and/or oil has leaked out you will lose compression and rebound control. That means when the springs are compressed, it will just rebound from spring tension without the shock absorber controlling it.
If you put your body weight on the rear on the vehicle and lift off quickly, the cab should lift and stop almost right away. If the shocks are gone it will bounce up and down a number of times.

Don't even think about outting old man emu crap on your car.
Terrible shocks designed for much heavier patrols and lancruisers (same as tough dogs)
Can't go wrong with adjustable ranchos for a cheap reliable shock
Can't go wrong with any of our jeep specialist in aus
Sbr offroad, Double black offroad and murchison products

I agree. don't put arb crap on it. you are close to DBOR however I run the AEV 3.5" premium lift and suspension with bilstein shocks. I've also got the hi steer kit fitted to keep the steering geometry correct.
these kits are tried and tested and you may even be able to have the entire kit engineered. not sure where you can get the AEV gear down there but contact CRD Stu on the aus jeep forum and he will look after you.

I'm going to get Ultimate Suspension to tailor springs and shocks for mine.....basically to restore it to "design" ride height. Its already sagged front and rear quite a bit and it's only 1 year on the road (18 months old)....by the time I add the new bar and winch, it's going to be quite a bit lower than it should be.
I'll post back how I like the Ultimate set up.
