Bought it yesterday, and pick it up next tuesdy
It's a 2003 Toyota Hilux Dual Cab 3.0l diesel

Can't wait to get out on the tracks, but before i go out any suggestion regarding set up?
over the next few months i hope to upgrade rims and tyres (Only has split rims with shit tyres), get a snorkle, and decent bullbar

I will post it in my 4wd forum once i take a few pictures

Great news Dazza. All I can suggest is a good set of tyres. The rest of the set up is all down to what you do with it. Lots of people have lift kits for no reason other than "Pose Factor". The same goes for a lot of modifications. Only you will know what you really need. Make sure you have a decent tool kit and all your recovery gear.

Happy Wheeling.

Congradulations on the new rig DazzaMTD. Trust you will have heaps of fun with it.

I had a '98 twin cab hilux 3.0l diesel. As well as tyres, snorkel and bull bar that you have earmarked, I also had rear diff locks, long range tanks and UHF. Long range tank was useful crossing the Simpson.

Cheers

As Goldrush said, get some good tyres first. Then spend a bit of time driving it see what you feel you NEED, not what makes it look "bling". I have the 02 with 3lt TD, the snorkel DID make a difference

Snokel & Exhaust do make a big difference to performance and fuel figures - In my eyes these are both not classed as bling altough some may see them as bling - proof is in the dyno figures.

Nice work Dazza, that's awesome mate!!

Better feet will make a big difference, I'm already thinking about upgrading to muddies, or possibly getting a second set of rims for that purpose.

It might have something to do with getting bogged a couple of times yesterday, but I could also blame it on a some bad luck and not optimal lines!

On ya DazzaMTD. Good to hear your into the new LUX. So you would have the 5LE 3.0l which is a very good rig. I can tell you will have lots of fun with it. Let me know if there's anything I can help with.
