Garage 54 is a fun channel, they do some weird stuff sometimes. . Wooden pistons, use graphite in place of engine oil etc.

isn't one of the roles of the CV though to be a known weak spot. better that pops than your diff or something else up the drivetrain?
Ideally no weak spots is the preferred option. Diffs are very strong these days, I would prefer to do a uni joint on the drive shaft, ( which would be the next weakest link) At least they are cheap, and easy to fix on the side of the track if you had to.isn't one of the roles of the CV though to be a known weak spot. better that pops than your diff or something else up the drivetrain?
