HI.
my car is a rare Fiat Campagnola -82
original is equipped with now rare 7.00 x 16.
ill like to buy a set of road tires "less noice maybe less gas consumption"
but i cant find the modern equivalent size ?ill like to keep the total height of the tires if possible
"for the fuel consumption"
any idea what a proper size could be ?
Thanks

7.00 x16 is the equivalent of 180 / 100 R 16 (766.4mm diameter). That will be hard to find but use a tyre size calculator like https://www.exploroz.com/vehicle/tyres/sizecalc.aspx to work out what might work - a slightly wider say 185 and not quite as tall might work - put in common sizes around the required size of 766.4mm and see what you get.
185 is common here in europe but not 100 profile
so as i understad 205 / 80 16 would be similar.
but stupid question..arent the offroad tires still higher due to the big knobs on the tire ?
