yep got one .very good radio.easy to use and as red said.can be upgraded very easily !an excellent unit. small, rugged, feature packed and now that we are heading to 80 uhf channels it is able to be reprogammed to suit without any hassles, so no buying a new radio.
i have the icom pro 400 and its a good unit as the others have said and i got mine upgraded to the 80 channels last week works well.

whats the cost of upgrading?
The radio is based on a comercial 25watt rig and at 5watt UHF CB output the radio should last for a zillion years. These radios have been around a long time now and have shown to be very reliable. I am naturally biased as most of my Ham radio's are Icom and on the few occasions when I have needed customer service Icom delivers.Does anyone run an Icom 400pro and if so what do you think of it.
Any of you guys asking about upgrading your 400 pro's to 80ch etc should check out the Icom IC-400 Pro Discussion Group; very informative forums.
I bought the icom440 12 months ago only to find ot now that the unit as far as i know is not upgradable to the new 80 channel. Which leaves me with the only real option of purchasing a new radio. Im really pretty pissed off about this as the 440 is icoms most expensive 5w uhf.
