HZJ 75 4sale (again)
Hi all. For sale is my moderately modified Cruiser ute.
I did all the work & mods myself & have kept records. Oil/filters are changed every 5000km without fail. I spray the whole chassis, engine bay & driveline with Inox before & after I go off road. The car is road legal & lic in WA. Details are:
1994 HZJ75 trayback 5spd 4.2L dsl, dual 90L tanks, 2&1/2" exh with extarctors, K&N filter, Safari snorkel, a/c (works but low on gas), pwr steer, 3" lift with extended shackles (front) & 3way drop shackles (rear) & Rancho RS9000 adj shocks on mod'd mounts, 33" bridgestone muds (30% tread) on new 15x8" sunraysias, ARB bullbar, dual batts, Spotties (top & front), recovery points, Blackduck canvas seat covers, Kenwood CD, roll bar.
New parts include: Rear diff center, alternator, brake pads (bendix ultimate 4WD), rear rotors & hubs, wheel bearings & seals (incl axle seals) all around, windscreen, nolothane susp bushes, main battery.
I have the drop sides for the tray & they are in good cond. I also have many new & used spares & have kept the original parts when I've modified things.
It has 338,000km on it & has NOT been around the clock yet. These motors should go around the clock easily if treated right & well maintained. Timing belt & bearings were done at 300,000km
I wish I could keep it but I could use the $$ & the extra room. I have nothing to hide, so here are its downfalls:
Windows are a bit stiff to wind as the fur has worn off the channel rubbers & they are now smooth- an $80 fix. Windscreen frame is rusted around hinges- I was quoted around $500 for a new frame, painted & fitted. This is the ONLY rust on the car. The speedo cable needs replacing (or at least lubricating) as the speedo needle flickers when doing less than 70km/h.....from memory, about $60 to replace. There is a minor pwr steering pump leak. Other than that it is a good truck & a very capable 4wd.
I removed the front sway bar as I found it was much better off rd & no different on road. I still have it & it also has new rubbers & new link pins.
I was asking $14,000 firm but I've dropped it big time to $10,000. Redbook still value these between $8700 & $13,500 depending on cond with an average of between 300,000-400,000km.
Cheers,
