Hi there everyone

my name is David & my family have been 4wding for only a year now, we have a 2006 R51 Pathfinder ST, as yet I have only added mods to make it more comfy & when the dollars allow will be looking at lifting it & adding some real tyres as well .. I have no great desire to make it a mountain climbing rock crawler as it is also our daily drive so has to maintain the road manners as well ...

Having said that I do love to go bush in it as often as possible when the dreaded BOSS allows me to and the real boss (SWMBO) does like to drive on the sandy stuff so I am extremely lucky there as well ....

here is a pic from our latest trip out to Kenilworth via Bellthorpe State Forest with SWMBO at the wheel .......

and a pic of the group at the end of the day at Kenilworth

I think the site is a GREAT idea & hope to be a contributor as well as gaining ideas on where to go ..... at this stage though I have no GPS so co-ords are a bit difficult but I will be inviting others along who may be able to assist with these

now I have bored you all to tears with my story I will read on and learn !!!

thanks again for a top site

Cheers
David

Hi David,

I am a new member to this site having just joined today. I have recently moved to the Sunshine Coast and noticed you referred to a trip in the same region. Are you in a club or do all the cars in your picture belong to friends/family?

Regards

Adam

Hi Adam,

we are not in a club at this stage, I am a member of the forum at www.pcoa.org.au and we are looking into getting a branch of the pcoa (pathfinders club of aust) up here in Qld but still waiting on more info at this stage ...

Some of the cars in the photo above were from the forum and others were friends of the people on the forum but we had a great day out & hope to arrange some more trips up that way soon .... keep an eye on the pcoa forum website and I will normally be posting/arranging from there at this time.

We had a blast out at kenilworth that day with 11 cars and about 30 people in total, and I had met with only about 6 people on the trip before that day so was a great way to meet people and have fun while remaining safe.

Cheers
David
