How you can avoid fines

Hi all,

Found this interesting link to the SDRO Review Guidelines, which tells you in what circumstances they will let you off from speeding or traffic fines. It is for NSW, but the first time I got a speeding fine, I wrote a letter and was let off.

Good to see they are not all *******s :)

Hope ths helps.

The only way to avoid fines is to do the right thing on the road. Common sense I would have thought?

Hey guys,

Certainly agree that the best way to avoid a speeding fine is not to speed :), and as this booklet points out, you need to have had a clean record for a very long time before there is any leniency.

For those serial speeders this book won't be of any assistance and anyway, as the TAC ads say - speed kills.

I third that. When you sit on the freeway at 100km/h with cruise control on, it's amazing just how many people go right past you. Lots of P platers too!
