Hey all

I'm a gear grinding first 4WD owner with a good amount of off road driving for the six months I've had my baby.
Originally I bought the car to do a camping trip with my wife. We went to the Snowys, down to Melbourne and up the the coast all the way to Cooktown and back. On the way we found some great tracks through the State Forests and National Parks. My wife likes the beach driving which is nice too but I really enjoy taking the car off road and driving demanding tracks where every inch starts to count. Obviously I am keeping the car.
Since we've been back in Sydney I've been up to the Zig zag and driven the telegraph track a few times which is great, been down to Stockton, Boat Habour (Yay), wife freaked out on Mountain Lagoon and went camping in Watagans National Park but couldn't find any good tracks.
So I have joined the forum in search of good tracks around Sydney and hopefully to meet some four wheeling buddies.

Welcome to 4x4 Earth. Hope to be at the Central Coast earlier in the year, still waiting to sell the house. Looking forward to doing the track and beach around Sydney. Soon I hope.

G'day DX Cruiser, welcome to 4x4 Earth.
Sounds like you are getting out and learning the ropes, good stuff !
Keep an eye on this sub forum to get involved in day trips and 4wd/camps with other members (we are a pretty welcoming bunch).New South Wales - 4x4 Earth
Feel sorry for ya wife freaking out on Mountain lagoon, it's a pretty tame fire trail (rated as easy but dont tell her that!) your cruiser could do the length in 2wd;)
For the Watagans buy the Cartoscope "central coast" map that lists most of the major roads thought being in State forest you will not find maps with a lot of detail.

Anyway enjoy your new found interest, but be warned it's very addictive
