Help with GQ Patrol side steps

Hi guys,
I bought these side steps off a local guy, who was wrecking his GQ.
I bought it over a year ago.
Trying to fit it in, I just realize that it won't.
Brackets won't match with the chassis rail and the body.
So, it looks like I need to modify the brackets of these side steps.
Can you guys please post some photos of your GQ with side steps, showing how it attaches to the
chassis rail and the body?
And please lend me few tips on how to do this.
I've attached few photos of the side steps and the brackets they came with.

Hi Dom, my son had a similar problem when he bought a SH set of sidesteps for his gq.
It turned out they were bent from rock sliding and he had to heat the steel up and straighten, then use a crow bar to get the last 5mm.
We're away atm, otherwise I'd get you a couple of pics.
Alternatively I know He's a member of the patrolforum and gets a lot of his info off there.

I have a GQ with the same side steps on it and they don't bolt to the chassis they bolt to the floor where you will find factory drilled holes just behind the seal in about a inch or two

Hi dom I've got a set of sliders on my GQ so I'll post some pictures and hopefully they will help you fit them to the chassis rail instead of the floor.
Incidentally how did you go with the noise coming from the drive line.

they bolt under the side floor and the plates bolt to the seal lip.there is three section with 2 bolts in each section.
