Have I broken the Troopy brotherhood?

I have to admit that when driving the Troopy I have not been “Troopy waving”. I have been more focused on the actual driving, particularly in cities that I am not familiar with.

I must be that grumpy old fart on the road. But seriously, there are way too many Troopys in bloody QLD. You’re not stop waving!
I do the belated nod, but can you see that from the other vehicle?
That nod is the nod of the 70 series owner.

I may have to put a Troopy Wave sticker on the windscreen so waving occurs automatically. I wouldn’t want to be accosted by the Troopy brigade in a dark car park.

Haha I rented a big van once for a tour around NSW. All the silly Biccy dippers I’ve spent my life despising were all waving at us. It was most disconcerting.

Same happens when I tow a caravan. I now only acknowledge people who are towing my van brand. If its the same van then the wave is a little more vigorous. And if its with a D4 then I go nuts!!!

I have witnessed first hand the deefer acknowledgement wave in a mate’s 130. All these little clubs I never knew about….

Welcome mate. Your vehicle qualifies you to join T.O.A. ( Troop Carriers of Australia) as well. Because we drive cruisers, we all address each other as Legends, we don't wave we give shawrys and drink frothies.

P.S. The shawry wave is left hand with ring finger down(missing). To respect the bloke who is the Legend that started it all.

Driving towards Mornington Vic, saw this guy giving me middle finger instead of waving while i was waving. Happened first time though but a bit shocked. Some People hating on the new facelifted Troopy? Zoom in you might see.

Certainly not hating on them I think the v8 lover would be happy as it will mean availability should rise and prices should drop, because you know…. The 2.8 is much much better
