So I've decided that my old Disco 3 is getting a bit long in the tooth. The logical thing to do then is to get something older and even longer in the tooth right? Went and had a chat with my mate Byron about it:

Wow mint find, I have owned a number of Patrols over the years and loved them from the MQ/MK, GQ with the 2.8 TD motor, then finally the 3L GUs and apart from upping the suspension to a 2" lift and a long range tank I literally went everywhere.

I wished I has bought the 4.2TD GU Patrol but hey, once you put a Turbo on that with a lift and perhaps a Long Range Tank you will have a weapon with very little to go wrong, you should also have a LSD in the back too.

Defiantly needs an extra tank, only has the single 95L rear one

From memory, the tank I had put in had a switch to transfer it from the Sub to the main tank which I found was good as it kept them seperate until you made the call.

Managed to get the patrol out for its first camp run over easter. Was only an overnighter but still better than nothing

Changed all the oils for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Looks like its been a while since the last change on most of the driveline.
