Hi there,
Last time I went bush I was single and that was 15 years ago and haven't been back since. This year Mum (21'ish+), Jason (9), Angela (7 1/2) want to go on a desert holiday, something to do with school and Thorny Devils have promoted their enthusiasm. Ok so that's the easy bit.
I'm now faced with overhauling the "Truck", and with my sons guidence doing something with the hi-lift jack, hand winch and radios (UHF and HF), not to mention the ever lengthening list of essentials, bikes, booggy boards, balls, frizzbies, DVD's, soft and cuddly toys and port-a-potty etc. All jokes aside I'm in Penrith (Sydney side) will travel the bitumen way to Adelaide then onto to Ularu, Kings Canyon etc, to Alice Springs and Simpson desert to Birdsville then home.
This will be a long trip over 4 weeks and without a doubt the kids and mum will rebel against the day to day travel. I'm desperatefor any guidence.
