I think Elise and I would love that Grumpy. Just local and overnite and day trips at the spur of the moment would be fantastic. Would love to hit the tracks around O'Tooles every weekend but its a bit far to drive at the drop of a hat. And very hard to plan around the boys. We could even take them on one day trips. The kids would have a ball. Have to keep a close eye on this thread.

My feelings are that Dates and Destinations would be set in advance to allow others to organise there time if they wished to do a particular run.

Hey Grumpy,

I think it is a great idea. Planning in advance would be good so we can plan ahead and there are a lot of tracks that we can do.

Great idea!

I'm not Quite sure where we go from here, Any Ideas, do we look at having a night to throw ideas around or what, Suggestions please Guys. This Question is more directed at the Gippsland/LatrobeValley Guys. All others will be informed as we obviously need to move on this and start somewhere.

Could you set it up the wsetys 4x4 boys? But have it set for maybe post code areas?

One thing that we could do is set up a new area on the forums, set up by region, so that people can plan events, and those that are travelling through can join in on the trips. Kind of like the club forums, except open for all.

Any other ideas?

Hey Grumpy

Nice idea, but don't we already have that feature here already, just not "regionalised"? Maybe Nickj is missing something. 3rd Rock forum have their trip section split up into states, is this what you mean?

I was saying something similar to Grumpy earlier on today. Good idea for people planning a holiday or a short trip. Find out what is going on in the region they will be in, big help. Might need a drinking session, i mean get together to discuss some ideas maybe??

Grumpy, youve outdone yourself! Fantastic idea. what sort of trips do you have in mind? i gathered from those locals i did get a chance to talk with at o'tooles do a fair bit of driving up that way whereas i go the other way towards boolarra and further where there are a few good camping spots with lots of tracks around for all types of drivers whether you want day trips overnight or longer. for others that are interested we are taking cptmud out for a run that way on the 22nd Nov.

Exactly the basis the LOOSE NUTS GROUP work on although not area orientated, Area orientated would be good in an open forum . Grumpy's legions would be quite strong followed by Roscoe's secret society.

Calling them groups takes away the club connitation which most of us are not attracted to

Our method of advocating a trip is simply along the lines like this

" Simmo has cracked the sh!ts and needs to go bush, is heading of to Tawonga for the weekend of the 00/00/0000, he is planning to leave about 1 o'clock from Somerville "

By posting it in email form or simmillar it is not an invitation in by the letter of the wording.

By contacting Simmo and saying that you are coming , you are tagging along on your own violition .

Where would Frankston be in the scheme of things, I am only aware of Brads-GQ being in our area and another member in Seaford .

thats the basis we work on .

We have asked the forum for our space on the Club site , but to be an open forum , now that O'tooles has come and gone, it may get done, we are not a secret society !
