Also being first overnight 4x4 trip will i need to bring any spare fuel??? or filling up in lithgow would last the weekend lol

Shouldn't need to worry about fuel. Not sure if others are bringing kids.

We drove to & back from the Vic Gathering with a Two year old (Give or take a year or two) on tough tracks - He was GREAT!

Good point I only have a little 65L tank in the hilux should I bring a Jerry can along anyways?

If you top up at lithgow you should be ok. Probably wont do that many kms. Out to dunns swamp and back would be less then a 100ks

a lot of road works going on bells line at the moment, plus better options for ice,fuel on the G.W.Hwy
