Hiya Andrew.

I take it you are getting your fuel usage from direct hard data when you fill up ?
Fill up, take km and lt info and work out lt/100km from that.

You aren't just having a bad run with head winds are you ?
That is certainly enough to push fuel use up.

If there is a rise in fuel usage, it could be a lot of things mechanical or electronic, unfortunately.
Injectors, pump, EGR system causing issues with dirty intake and / or MAP sensor, possibly something like PCV system, could be intercooler not functioning ideally, a failing sensor (one of many) sending incorrect info to ECU.

Usually some of these things can be slow to appear, so it might be some sort of injector system or sensor problem.

Get one of these if you want to self analyse info from your computer when driving . . .
EDS scan tool

I find info from the computer is interesting to monitor, get to know our usual numbers and when something goes astray you can have an early warning to check it out.

Used to be if your engine wasn't performing as usual, you generally had a fuel or air supply issue, but with modern engines it's a lot harder to diagnose and work out any failings.

A good dyno can pick up problems, with new exhaust going on maybe hunt down a reasonable dyno cost and get it all checked out / tweaked.

Thanks for your repkyThe info i get is from the car fuel display i have recet it a number of times as i thought it may be a few bad runs such as wind but it still shows the 12.1/100km sometimes it may drop to 10.3 to 11.3/100km but climbs strait back up to 12.1/100km its only got worse over the past week

Andrew, do the fuel used manually when you fill.
Computer fuel use isn't accurate, only a guide.

When was the fuel filter last changed?
On my old Courier when the filter started getting gunked up then the fuel consumption would go up. Try changing where you fill up too, different fuel quality can make a difference.

fill up early in the morning as the fuel has cooled down
check your map sensor and give it a clean
use BP ultimate or caltex vortec diesel

what's on the roof? lights on the front bar? weight of gear in the back

are you servicing it or is the mechanic doing it?

it's not new to you anymore and you drive it a little harder because it now feels a little gutless to when you first got it

do yourself a favor, wash it , polish it clean it out , you'll fall in love with it again
reset your computer every time you use it and do the fuel figures at the pump , mine is 2km/L out

Also do the MAP in the intake manifold . . . MAF / MAP sensor clean
These usually get really caked up.
Link for basic info on the clean / right cleaner, process . . . the Colo should have map in similar location on inlet manifold, and look similar to locate.
