FJ cruiser overhead console

Looking for somewhere to put a UHF radio and figure the best option might be to go the overhead console to get it up and away from the dash. Any ideas where to purchase one. Car is 2013 model with crawl control.

Hi mate, get an icom 440 or the other (uniden and gme) that have the remote mount. There's plenty of room in/around the dash area in the FJ. I got the Icom 440 with remote mic and fitted the head unit under the centre console where the motion sensor for the stability control is, easy fit and the Icom has speaker and mic in the handset. If your 2013 doesn't have the overhead controls then I know there is a overhead aftermarket console available but I am told they are very expensive.

Have seen a very tidy install of a UHF unit on another forum. (may have been yours) Still would like to go with the overhead console. The only ones I've seen don't facilitate the crawl control that's on the later models. This being the wifes car I have to keep searching.
