G'day again
after a long search process running through plenty of options, finally decided on and bought an FJ cruiser today! Can't wait to get out and about, 4x4 earth has gone a long way in helping me sort this out and told me where to look, couldn't have been any more useful! Might see some of you lot around some tracks in the near future

Not my personal choice but a great and capable vehicle - enjoy and get out and use it.

Nice choice for your first 4wd

That’s right! Can’t thank you enough mate, wasn’t sold on them at the time but I came around and found some work to boost the cash side of things, stoked with it so far and can’t wait to get it out there

I came very very close to buying one in 2016 but at the last second decided not to go ahead so I've got a bit of a soft spot for these, one of the very very few Toyotas I would ever own. Most of their cars are just so damn boring I couldn't bring myself to drive one but this thing is a little bit interesting.

It won’t be the ideal trip without recovery points although A’s long as you have a winch it would be ok, the 2 Hardest tracks will Rocky and Lyndells, still haven’t finalised was he was rest yet

Yep awesome. I’ve got a few places I could sound out for some gear near me in the next few days. If not This one it’ll definitely be some time soon!

Not sure the first timer is going to want to do Rocky even the easy line - you might scare him from ever going out again
I’m chomping at the bit to get out but probably should ease into it, I’ll go for a few chicken tracks with some work mates soon and might join you blokes for some adventures soon enough

I make the comments because I took a friend of mine who was new to it up Rocky track first track of the day and only halfway up he said I hope you're not planning anything more adventurous this is my limit already.

As the name suggests it's quite rocky and slippery and lots of the bottom of the car we'll get pounded it's not the sort of track I think you'll be excited about that's all.

I didn’t realise that you were a novice, probably not the trip for you but then, rocky trk won’t be the hardest tack of the day either. If your interested I am happy to offer a passenger seat in my car which will teach you a bit and show what your car will be capable of. It would mean you leave your car parked at Yarra Glen for the day. That’s if you can lower your standards and sit in a 25 year old Disco for the he day
