Electric brake controller

I have just ordered an off road camper trailer with electric brakes, and was wondering which type of electric brake controller is best for 4 wheel driving (motion sensing or time delay). I was looking at the Redarc remote mount controller but was told they aren't effective.

I've heard that the Redarc's benefits are its simplicity of operation. I only know one person who has one(and another twenty people whose third cousins best mates uncle had one:rolleyes:) and he's happy with it.

I'm setting up a camper at the moment(slowly) and every trailer place I spoke to while doing my research on the brakes recommended the techonsha primus IQ.

Thanks for that, I have heard that tekonsha was good, but I like the idea of the remote redarc. Dont know which way I will go.

I have a Tekonsha in my Commodore but a Redarc in my Terracan, which is now my primary towing vehicle.

I like the ease of installation, and flexibility in where to place the controls, of the Redarc. I also like the ease of using it manually (ie on hill descents) of the Redarc.

It works very well and is easy to adjust.
