diesel gas

Thanks to everyone who enquiried about the diesel gas I have on my Patrol.

Have had no trouble at all with the diesel gas.

My boss uses this fuel for the tractors at work and his Patrol and Nivara and he too has had no problems.

Waiting on the boss to give me all the details. Will then post all details.

Mate of mine has just had his Patrol put on the dyno. Turning the gas on (bit of a rough and ready gas job) has given him an extra 75 Hp at the rear wheels.

He is now at 225hp with a 4.2 intercooled Turbo Diesel. Thay reakon if he got a bigger turbo he would get more. (Water cooled Intercooler)

I have been told to do this by many people, but I prefer until I can get some sort of consensus as to the right way to do it. Did it really make that much difference???

Does the engine have to be in perfect nick, mine has 485,762 hard Klm's on it...

What was the Diesel to gas ratio, do you know?

Near new engine mate - I'm guessing lucky to have done 10 000km since rebuild. Got a few trick things done to the donk. I have no idea of the ratio sorry. Saying that mine pulled only 15 horses less (135) without gas and it has no trick things done to the donk and a air cooled intercooler.

Thanks for that, I might have to look into it more, mine has some hard klm's on it (ex farm rig), so god knows what it has towed/done....

I was going to try a turbo, but I was told to rebuild my donk first, and I cant quite afford that, then do the turbo install!!!!

Thats where I thought this gas idea might be the trick. I will watch this space carefully.
