Been using it for over 12 years now
Its perfect on the TD42.
You are missing my point coke addict.
There was some sarcasm there in my previous comment about expensive diesel.
Mixing 2 parts diesel to 1 part two stroke oil ???
That means a 90liter tank has 60L of diesel mixed with 30L of two stroke oil.
It would be a bushfire on wheels if it did run at all.

it probably would run still . many trucks dump there sump oil into there fuel tanks via a electric pump and a filter , 50ltrs at a time in signature 600 Cummins and drive dwn the highway on a blend of sump and diesel

I've only been using quality diesel like ultimate or vortex since rebuilding the old 2h 140000 kays ago, nil black smoke runs sweet as, if I put cheap standard fuel in I can feel the drop in power, 1000 ks a week towing a builders trailer you can notice the difference, means down to second gear doing 50 up Cunningham gap instead of third and backing off at 70 which is the speed limit, occasionally use a bottle of additive usually after filling up with cheap generic diesel to clean her out, definitely notice the difference usually use chemtech, do four consecutive tanks, then miss a few, dont know if the injector pump was rebuilt using new type seals, no leaks yet touch wood.

Can't see why you would need to run additives if you can get good quality diesel
( ultimate or vortex ) happy to back BP there ultimate fuel is good. I have seen an improvement in injector values since switching to it.

If you have an older diesel ( non CRD ) well I'd probably consider it.

Hmmm sorry missed this one.... Im talking in mils not ltrs. Anyway. Ive added it since moses parted the waters. Its cheap as chips to do and can def see and feel improvements... thats all I need to keep doing it. everyone has things to help us along but most are just money pits. All good though :)

Yep, I certainly wouldn't knock it until giving it a go.
Of all the people that try thins, only a very small number say they don't notice a difference in the way it runs / sounds.

Have been adding Castrol 2T Activ to the diesel for a good 70k now and from the first time you do it you can generally hear / see the difference.
On big trips, I'll usually load up with treated fuel, then usually on big drives I'll take up to 2 litres to add some when topping up fuel.
Quite often I don't bother though for various circumstances (pita at servos, if it's busy etc), and that doesn't matter too much, do it when I get home after topping off.

Buy a litre Phil and give it a go, must be this one . . .

Fill up one of your tanks and add the 2SO at 200 : 1 see how it goes.

But buy the 4 litre packs at least - Supercrap all 1 litre for $13.70 or 4 litres for $40.

Yeah I know, I buy 20lt drums from a farm supply place, HEAPS cheaper per litre.
I was saying that as a way to just give it a go without getting too deep :)

I try and use Vortex where I can get it.. Mines not common rail either. Sometimes I use United without issues..

Hi les

I was running T2 active in my V8TD for about a year and found it was slightly better than prior.

After looking into the whole thing I opted to try good motor oil and good fuel

Awhla after switching to mobile 1 Delvac
And BP Ulitmate it runs smoother and quiter than ever before the injector values improved over the first 6 months as well
now I can run oil for least 10k drain intervals don't have to worry about stuffing around adding T2 to my fuel, and it runs quieter and smoother.

It makes sense using low Sulfur diesel oil with Low sulfer diesel in a motor designed to run on low Sulfur fuel.

No dramas using vortex in direct injection diesel thow you may not gain much more power at least the fuel is clean

Older diesels are whole different kettle of fish as they were designed to run on diesel with Sulfur in it

I use 2T intermitedly and have done for about 5 years. I guess every second or third tank maybe but dont know if it helps or not...

The CEM CRD fuel enhancer seems to be working well in the Hilux, just stripped and cleaned out the erg over the weekend as well.

How'd you find that EGR Bernie ? (And hello, been a while since I've seen you here.)
The Ranger EGR was pretty clean on an inspection last service, and now a past issue.
The intake manifold is fairly clean too.
Glad the catch can went on at 50k, kept it pretty clear.
