The recommended is 200:1 so it should be 400ml for 80 litres ( halve the litres and add a zero to get millilitres reqd. )

Dochol, Why the 270:1 ratio ?

Cheers

Read Report for Germany on the internet about 3 years ago and was the rate that they were using. Have been using the same since and it seems to work for me.
You know the old saying "if its not broken don't fix it "

lol I've got a mate of mine who has Avtur (aviation fuel) as his additive from the fuel farm at amberly base! He mixes it into his Narvara

When I flew old Avgas aircraft (Probably 100 years ago now) it used to "Evaporate" so to speak from the aircraft tanks overnight when there were fuel strikes:rolleyes:;)

I hope the Avtur didn't come from the same source.:D

2stroke In Diesel Fuel

What do people mean it affects older 4wdrives from what year do you call old..????
Interesting post .According to all the info i have read on google and you could spend the next year reading it, it has extremely positive results , the most common mixture ratio i have read is 1 part oil to 200 part diesel thats 500ml oil to 100litres of diesel , im going to try it out in my 1hz denco turbo water int cooled 100 series

Interesting read. Though wonder what the manufactures & warranty terms and condition have to say about it. I understood 2 stroke oil is for running 2 stroke petrol engine as an oil substitute as they have no valves. Would want to be 100% certain that it won't destroy the injectors, let alone th common rail pumps. Would also want to be VACC approved.

So far , 130,000 kms so far, its destroyed nothing, mine is not CRD. Other threads report much greater distances.

I just realized............ thats approx 120 tanks of fuel !!:eek:

As to VACC approved ?, your asking the epitome of conservatism to place a stamp of approval on this..........., I'd say not in yours, mine or their lifetime. If it isn't manufacturer approved it aint gunna happen.

Cheers

Come to think of it, the Chemtech Diesel treatment is a similar cocktail mixture as the 2 stroke oil. Maybe that's their secret.

I'm still a little sceptical about this, cause if you do break something, particularly in a new vehicle, you won't have a leg stand on when trying to claim a warranty repair. It's the same with the Diesel LPG systems as stories are slowly but gradularily filtering through of engine meltdowns, an manufactures not honouring warranties as a result.....Oouch!! that's got to hurt the hip pocket.

Maybe we'll wait and see what happens to you engine there stoffa, if she breaks, we'll know not to use it,lol.

gulf western mineral 2 stroke in 1hz

I gave this a go and purchased 5litres G/W for $25.00 on gold coast and use the 200 to 1 mix for a 1200 km trip to cobar nsw .I noticed a smoother quiter idling motor, seems to have more low down power but fuel economy didnt change, i still get 7km /litre as i always . cheers

Cost Effective Maintenance

I am about to go down the Cost Effective Maintenance Solution path and have ordered the Flushing Oil Consentrate & Clean Power Value Pack with the FTC Decarbonizer as my Landcruiser is blowing a bit of smoke.

The smoke is worst while the engine is cold, however after getting the injectors replaced (at 250,000km) I am still blowoing a little more smoke then I would like and the idle is a bit rough.

Have had a mate run the Flushing Oil Consentrate & Clean Power Value Pack through his '98 3lt Hilux when it was blowing a little smoke and overheating on long hills. It solved the problem.

Fingers crossed, will keep everyone posted.

They just sent me an email as i am on there list . there giving 10% off on all cem products untill xmas, I saved a semi driver a engine rebuid and gave him another 18months hauling 3 trailers with cem stuff. If carbon is the problem cem will fix it better than any other product.

If you own a Toyota you can purchase the additive as a genuine product that should let you know if it works

I was reading about injectors & cleaner on the web & up pops an earth page

I have just tried the Liquimoly fuel system cleaner/conditioner and am interested in any difference it may make to the truck, might get toyota to run some of their injector cleaner at the next service.

In my case it cleaned up the turbo was sticking with gum more power better fuel economy better starting I have an old 2l engine .
Sons 2012 3l engine better fuel economy quietened it down on start noticeable power change on acceleration that was with Toyota cleaner .
V6 commodore smooth acceleration no more rough idle engine oil clean after couple thousand km's normally off colour Wynns injector cleaner .

Not sure what sort of veichle you own 3l has a top mount intercooler washed it with water based cleaner son says there is a noticeable power response in second gear off road :D

I think you mean 1:200 and I'd only recomened using castrol t2 active jaso fc

Toyota diesel conditioner works but it's also makes the diesel burn a lot quicker I was loosing on average 50kms a tank
