After considerable thought, the minister of war, finance and procreation has given approval for a new purchase.
So a bright, shiney and new Turbo diesel Prado will soon be taking the place of my much loved (and tolerated by the wife) 80 series.

A good deal of thought went into this. And a lengthy list of pro's and con's debated (wife idea) of all the different cars out there. And the Prado came out trumps to our needs and wants.

So the 80 is going, some of the proceeds will go to setting the Prado up with the usual. Bar work, suspension, tyres.......diff locks:rolleyes:

It's funny how you look forward to the challenge of setting your next project up just right. But know you need to give up something else you love to do it.

Oh well, gotta do what you gotta do.:(

So if anyone wants a 80 that's well set up for touring and play let me know, but if it takes a while for me to find a buyer..........reckon the wife will hold it against me.

How much, how many k's and some info on all the regular things people want to know about it would be good.

Brand spankers. $55,000 drive away with a couple of extras thrown in.
Getting it through a novated lease or something like that. It reduces my tax a good bit as well, so the amount paid monthly which includes all operating expenses inc. fuel that I am out of pocket is very good. The numbers work out very well for me.
And since I do have the money in the bank to purchase it outright, I can throw this off the homeloan reducing it to to a very healthy amount and the interest saved over the 4 years will go along way to paying the prado off outright at the end of the lease.
All up I'm pretty stoked with the whole arrangment

Hey Chucky,

Good luck with the new truck. There are a lot of factors when getting a new vehicle. If only money wasn't an issue :)

When do you get it?

Cheers,

James
