Cool that the new heritage model comes with DRLs.
At 2:45mins

Wish I could buy the OEM fog DRLs. Oh well, will just have to settle for the Hella 15degree ones.
I like DRLs. They make a visual difference for people being able to see the vehicle better. The better people can see the vehicle, the less chance of an accident.

My new spotties have DLRs built in so I have wired them up to be on all the time but factory ones would be better. At least the new 70’s have a headlight on warning. I use my headlights during the day when outback and always forget to turn them off when stopping

I plan to run the 29" lightbar on top of the bumper (flat surface), GME Cellular 1.2m antenna located between lightbar and grille, Hella 15 degree DRLs under the headlight on the bumper flat part.

I suspect that there is enough space as the bumber sticks out a lot. The lightbar and the DRL should not impede the headlight beam given it's thin size.
The only thing I am not sure of is the strength of the metal of the flat part of the bumper, if it could handle the antenna being mounted on it (drill hole and mount antenna straight on). May add a metal plate on the underside acting as a large washer to spread load, as antenna causes lots of leverage in rough stuff.

Dont know about the bumper as mine are always in the scrap bin before I take delivery but can’t see it being a problem
Rather than fitting DRL,s why not just wire up the parkers to do the job?

I don't even know what 'park' lights are. Only low beam, high beam and indicators, and brake lights.

I didn't want to get out of my depth with installation. Hella 15° LED is simple and will be on its own self-contained circuit, so I cannot really mess up the install. If anything goes wrong, it will be easy to identify.

Anything I do on the vehicle will mitigate having to splice/cut into any looms or drill any structural holes (holes into bits that cannot be easily replaced). Just plug and play, or inclusion of additional hubs.

The first click on the light switch is park lights and the second is headlights and then you have high beam

I seem to remember DRLs. are required to turn off automatically when headlights are turned on. I may be wrong but something worth considering.
