If you have busted a CV fair chance you will break another, maybe get a aftermarket stronger one, either that or keep a weak link and treat it as a fuse if your that kind of driver / owner but buy a couple and keep spares

I've found Burton's to be pretty expensive. I Bought a pair of new axles with cv joints etc on ebay. Think they cost me about $350 . I kept the old ones so next time I'll replace the cv's only

Over the years on the hilux site many brands have been tried but genuine toyota have found to be the best by far but a repco one is good as emergency spare to carry as much cheaper.

I've re-built one after busting a boot and serviced a couple, but never broken one. I'm guessing OEM can't be that bad.

Are you serious? I have seen more busted Toyota CV's out bush than any other brand by a mile , surely there must be a aftermarket provider that does a strong one for those who build serous trucks.
Even LR have manufacturers that can and do provide CV's, drive shafts, diff centers, axles the whole lot that are guaranteed to handle around 700hp
