Well I am currently up in the Gulf region.
With the borders looking to tighten we did a runner why we could and crossed the border while we were allowed to
We left 4 am Friday and crossed the border 8pm that night. Woohoo
We decided to go the day before and did hardly any preparation, just threw the basics in the car and left
It is the first time I have left with an empty fridge and done a grocery shop in Qld
If we didn’t leave then we wouldn’t have been able to go I would say

Stoked to hear you ran the gauntlet at stupid o'clock and made it over the border ,have a great trip mate and make sure to post a few reports for us travel deprived Mexicans .

Yes we did the application and were legally allowed to cross the border before 1am on Saturday morning
Police and army personnel were at the border and double checked us before allowing us through
I take it you are referring to web sites or Face book etc Matt. There is lots of stuff that's taken down, mostly unfounded there. But I haven't seen this in mainstream media other than when they copy twitter / Facebook rumours or press releases that turn out to be a load of crap.
I can't see articles being pulled for censorship reasons on all media around this kind of stuff. Something that the ABC or the Age / SMH censor would be gold news value for the Australian and other News Ltd papers. And Visa Versa IMHO.
I am not aware of any worldwide censorship organization. But maybe that's because reporting about it is censored.

I think people give industry participants too much credit.
I've worked for some of the world's largest oil and gas and mining companies throughout my career -Typically they adopt a protectionist attitude to media, rather than a censorship approach. That is, they try to control the message getting OUT from the organisation and manage the response to what does get in to the public domain. In spite of what people may think these companies are able to do, I have never once seen any suggestion that they had the ability to somehow manipulate what was in the public domain about them.
Look at BP for example... The media response to Macondo just about sunk them. Don't you think they would have exerted some of that censorship capability if they could?

I have just been looking at the figures for infections in Victoria. It looks like the dumbest age groups are the 20-30s followed by the 30-40s. Both age groups well and truly out doing teenagers. Maybe this sad news in Victoria with the 30 yr old might make them wake up a bit.

Mate, we all got Measles, Chicken pox & some got Mumps in my day - we thought it was standard procedure.
I got Infantile Paralysis (Polio), Measels & Chicken Pox & like most, had no problems after.
With Chicken Pox however you are NEVER over it & you can get Shingles years later, which is not good. (Olga got it 60 years later & is OK now)
I was lucky at my age & 60 YEARS LATER they now have a Shot for that.
Good luck all you lot waiting for a cure for this one - it will be around for ever!

I went to chicken pox parties to make sure I got it as a very young child because the older you are when you get it the worse it was.
As far as oil companies controlling what was / is going on they have done it for years, maybe not censoring media but that is not the only way to control society, they bought rights and tech relating to alternative fuel sources in the 60's and 70's and just shelved it to insure their longevity and profits.
Why would people in there 30's and 40's want to live in this crap dictatorship world ? Very few if any of them have any symptoms let alone a high risk of death, lets face it its only very old or very unwell people with pre existing disease dying, exactly the same as a bad flu season, the only difference is how contagious Covid 19 is.

Lisa had a dose of Shingles a few years ago, had a couple of uncomfortable weeks and some time off work, no big deal but it does hit some pretty bad
